I want to share something a little more personal today…
Something that really matters to me, not just as a breeder, but as someone who truly loves her dogs. Because the truth is, breeding isn’t just about puppies. It’s about responsibility. It’s about making decisions that aren’t always easy… but are always right. What Responsible Breeding Means to Me Over time, I’ve come to understand that being a responsible breeder isn’t about how many puppies you produce, it’s about how you raise them, why you breed them, and the standards you refuse to compromise. For me, responsible breeding means: Only breeding dogs that are healthy, genetically sound, and well-balanced Taking the time to do DNA testing and proper evaluations Raising puppies in a home environment, with love and early socialisation And sometimes… having the strength to say no, even when you were excited to say yes Because not every dog should be part of a breeding program, and that’s okay. Why This Matters So Much Every puppy we bring into the world becomes part of someone’s family. That’s a big responsibility. These aren’t just pets, they’re companions, emotional support, best friends, little shadows that follow you everywhere. And they deserve the best possible start in life. So for me, it’s never about rushing. It’s about doing things properly, even if that means waiting longer. A Better Way: The Guardian Program As I continue growing Ruby Moodles and Poodles, I’ve been thinking a lot about how to do things even better… And that’s where the idea of a Guardian Program comes in, something I’m hoping to implement soon, if God allows. The idea is simple, but beautiful. Instead of keeping all breeding dogs with me, some of them will live with carefully chosen families, in real homes, with full attention, love, and a normal family life. Because at the end of the day… Dogs don’t belong in kennels. They belong on couches, in kitchens, following you around the house. How It Works (In Simple Terms) A guardian family welcomes one of our dogs into their home as their own. The dog lives with them full-time They receive all the love, care, and daily life of a family pet We maintain breeding rights for a limited time Once the program is complete, the dog is fully theirs It’s truly a win-win. The dog gets the best life possible. The family gets an amazing companion. And we can continue our breeding program without compromising the wellbeing of our dogs. Why I Believe in This Approach Because I’ve learned that quality isn’t just about genetics. It’s about lifestyle, environment, and emotional wellbeing. A dog that grows in a loving home will always be: More balanced More confident More connected to people And that makes a difference, not just for the dog, but for every future puppy too. Final Thoughts This is something I feel very strongly about. I don’t want to grow fast. I want to grow right. I want every decision I make to reflect the kind of breeder I truly want to be, one that puts dogs first, always. And if that means taking a slower path, making harder choices, or doing things differently… then I’m completely okay with that. Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about breeding dogs. It’s about raising them with dignity, respect, and love.

I’ve always believed that our dogs deserve meals that are wholesome, nourishing, and made with the same care we’d give to any member of the family. That’s why I personally cook dinner for my dogs, and they have dry food for breakefast and lunch. It’s simple, natural, and delicious for them. 🌿 The Benefits of Cooking for Your Dogs Cooking at home has so many benefits beyond the joy it brings: You control the ingredients, no fillers, preservatives, or low-quality meat. You can adapt the recipe to your dog’s needs (more protein for active dogs, lighter meals for seniors). You provide fresh nutrients that support their immune system, coat, and digestion. You build a bond — dogs truly sense the love behind a home-cooked meal. 🦴 The Power of Ingredients Each ingredient adds something special: Beef & chicken → Excellent sources of protein and amino acids for muscle strength. They're great with: Children Seniors First-time dog owners Small homes or apartments With proper socialisation (which we begin from birth), Moodles grow into calm, well-mannered companions who love both playtime and nap time. --- 🐾 And What About Cavoodles? While we haven't had a Cavoodle litter yet, we’ve spent a long time preparing for it — learning, observing, and selecting the right foundation for a healthy, well-balanced line. Our Cavoodle mum-to-be, Cindy, has all the qualities we love: Calm temperament Gentle nature Affectionate, with soulful eyes And that soft, wavy coat that Cavoodles are famous for From everything we know — and from the Cavoodles we’ve interacted with — this breed is: Emotionally intuitive Great with kids and elderly Playful without being overwhelming Very responsive to gentle training They have a slightly more relaxed energy than Moodles, often making them excellent emotional support animals or therapy dogs. --- 🧠 Both Breeds Share a Common Gift: Intelligence and Trainability Thanks to their Poodle heritage, both Moodles and Cavoodles are highly intelligent, quick to learn, and eager to please. This means they respond beautifully to positive reinforcement and love mental stimulation. Whether it’s toilet training, basic commands, or fun tricks — they pick things up fast when raised with love and consistency. In our experience with Moodles, early training not only builds confidence but strengthens the bond between puppy and family.
