At Ruby Moodles and Poodles Sydney, one of the questions we get asked the most is:
“What are Moodles and Cavoodles like in terms of personality?”
And the answer is simple — they’re absolutely wonderful.

We’ve spent years raising Moodles with love, structure, and lots of cuddles, and very soon we’ll be starting an exciting new chapter: our very first Cavoodle litter with our beautiful girl Cindy.

Here’s what we’ve come to love about these incredible breeds — and why we’re so excited to offer both in our program.

🧸 Moodles: Small in Size, Big in Heart

Moodles (Maltese x Poodle) are known for their affectionate and gentle nature.
They’re playful, cuddly, and incredibly attached to their humans. Many of our families tell us their Moodle becomes their shadow — following them from room to room, always wanting to be part of daily life.

They're great with:

Small homes or apartments


With proper socialisation (which we begin from birth), Moodles grow into calm, well-mannered companions who love both playtime and nap time.

🐾 And What About Cavoodles?

While we haven't had a Cavoodle litter yet, we’ve spent a long time preparing for it — learning, observing, and selecting the right foundation for a healthy, well-balanced line. Our Cavoodle mum-to-be, Cindy, has all the qualities we love:

Calm temperament

Affectionate, with soulful eyes

And that soft, wavy coat that Cavoodles are famous for


From everything we know — and from the Cavoodles we’ve interacted with — this breed is:

They have a slightly more relaxed energy than Moodles, often making them excellent emotional support animals or therapy dogs.
